SUSE V8にてvsftpdを使用していますが、
ftpのMODEコマンドをSUSEが受け付けてくれませんでした。
vsftpd.confや他の何かのconfの設定が足りないと思って
調べてみたのですが、判らず、困っています。
何の設定が誤っていると思われますでしょうか？
（末尾にvsftpd.confを添付させて戴きました。）
それとも、vsftpd以外のデーモン（ProFTPD？）を使用すれば、
対応できるでしょうか？

設定の問題ではなく、vsftpdもproftpdもストリームモードしかサポートしてません。
身近なものではストリームモード以外をサポートしているものはないのではと思います。
しかし、何でmodeがいるのですか？

MODEコマンドの対応が必要な理由ですが、
既に製品として排出している作り込みのftpが、
MODEコマンドを発行するシーケンスを取っており、
その製品とSUSEを繋げてみたところ、動作しかなった為です。
ftpクライアント側の仕様や動きを確認したところ、
全てストリームモードにて転送しているのですが、
わざわざ明示的にMODEコマンドを発行するように
しているようです。
設定変更やproftpdの導入など、
SUSE側で対応できればと思い、質問させて戴きましたが、
おやじ様の回答により
解決の方向性を変える必要がある事が判りました。
＃ ストリームモードでしか転送して来ないのなら、
＃ MODEコマンドを発行しないようftpクライアント側を修正する
＃ といった提案する予定でいます。
